Appreciate your thoughts Rex…Here’s to GOODNESS and RECOGNIZING OUR COMMON HUMANITY! And on a person to person level, let’s also celebrate our differences…get beyond feeling scared or threatened by them. If friends, colleagues celebrate a different tradition, ask them about it…Not only does it mean a lot to all of us, when people demonstrate interest in our families, our work, our cultures and traditions. It also builds trust…and helps to move us beyond that “US” vs “THEM” perspective...AND TO GET A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP!

Marilyn Sargent. Thank you so much for this saving story and benediction. I needed this to give my spirit a little more strength to face what is. Seeing so many horrors every dqy on the news, shocks whatever spiritual hope I have. This will be my mantra to get through all of it. HOPE is so important to grab and hold on to.

We need more folks of good faith acting in good faith to help raise us up and out. Faith, whether or not it’s based on a particular belief, is a foundation for progress.

I appreciate your hopeful comments at a time when I'm short on hope. I continue weekly attendance at our Presbyterian church where we hear similar words at the end of each service. And I continue to hope that people of faith (any faith) will indeed bring good to the world in terms of genuinely caring for each other and for creation. It really shouldn't be so complicated.

Lovely post, Rex. There is a reason these prayers last.
