As a life long left leaning Republican, I am always surprised by the resistance of my neighbors to consider the other candidate. The far right has done a very good job of driving a wedge between rural vs city and Republican vs Democrat. We need to try the middle road where all might benifit.
Thank you for this. I've never been a rural resident and don't know much about their concerns. It's helpful to understand why they're suffering, however. You're right. Their needs should be addressed as well as those of urban or suburban dwellers.
