In an effort to understand all sides, I read from all sources. After a CNN story I will view one from the other side. It may not be supportive of my views but those who feed us information
continue to send both sides. It is very easy to fall into the trap of only seeing stories that support our current views.
I am trying to avoid national and state news (Texas) as much as possible, but I haven't been wholly successful. I feel as though we've already slipped over the pass. It's terrifying, to say the least. But I feel a responsibility to keep myself informed, no matter how painful.
I have found that paying attention to what people do is more important than what they say. Most newscasts pay attention to what is said. Politicians seem to say much in order to get coverage but do very little.
